'Steaming into historic York'
Our train picks up at local stations in rural Lincolnshire and is diesel hauled to Doncaster, from where Stanier 8F steam
locomotive 48151 takes over for the 90 minute journey to York. The train tavels via Sherburn in Elmet and Church Fenton with
a photo stop requested en route. We enjoy a break of around 4 hours before returning steam hauled to Doncaster and return
diesel hauled to our home stations. Thus offering a family day out, with a steam ride to an interesting destination from your
local station.
