Step back in time as you board these heritage trains, coaches built in the late 1950's and early 1960's now lovingly
restored from the West Coast Railways Depot at Carnforth, complete with their linen antimacassars on the seat backs. Sit back,
enjoy the scenery as you travel by direct train from the convenience of your local station. For 2008 we have a wide range
of destinations aimed to cater for all tastes. We hope that the programme has something to offer you.
GROUP
BOOKINGS:
If you belong to a local group or society why not organise a small party? We offer generous discounts,
starting at £3 per person for groups of 12 or more. For larger groups why not book your own coach, with a £7 per
person discount?
DISABLED?
If you would like to travel on the 'Green
Express' please contact the office to discuss your needs. We can allocate your seating near to the door and toilet. Manual
folding wheelchairs can be accomodated on the train.
STANDARD CLASS:
Seating
is arranged in bays of four, most of them around a table. Comfortable, upholstered seats in carriages with large picture windows.
Couples are seated side by side (one window seat, one aisle seat)
1ST CLASS
For
that bit of extra luxury, these coaches with their 'armchair' style seats are ideal for a special occasion.
PRIVATE TABLES FOR 2:
It is possible to reserve seats at a table for 2 for a supplemenmtary
fee of £15 per person ( not available in standard class.)
THE TRAIN:
On
board our tours we aim to create a family atmosphere with stewards to help with information and keep the train tidy. All passengers
have reserved seats and we provide a travel guide about the journey. Tea, coffee, snacks, soft drinks and sandwiches are available
from the buffet car. On board most trains we have the added attraction of hand pulled ale from a small brewery.
